Taal Beshi Drinking Water Project which is located about 20 KM to the south east of Kaski was officially inaugurated on 1st December 2019 by Mr Nava Raj Ojha, the Chair of Rupa Rural Municipility-6, unveiling the board. At the same time RCP Midtown chair Rtn Binod Heyjoo , Rtn Yoshie Toru and Rtn Yoshida Akira inaugurated by turning the three taps located in school.
The programme which was chaired by Rtn Binod Heyjoo and led by Rtn Shreeman Gurung started with a welcome speech by Mr Maniram Kandel, the head teacher and a dance of Rupa Jyoty children. After the inauguration of the programme, Mr Degendra Gurung, the RCC chair presented the income expenditure of the project. Similarly Guest Rtn Gianluca Bonanno and Rtn Yoshie Toru expressed their gratitudes for all the hospitality given to them. Specially the garlands and the Panche baja were of great interest. More over they expressed that the project would continue in the days a head with training and other activities for sustainability. The chief guest also showed their gratitudes for the help to the community and wished to do more projects in the coming days. Likewise Er Birendra Tiwari, Municipality engineer and Mr Dil Bahadur Gurung, community drinking water chair were recognized with letters of appreciation. Besides, some dances were shown by the students of Rupa Jyoti School which entertained all the Rotarians, Japanese guests and the public. Finally the programme was closed by the chair thanking and showing gratitudes for making a great success.
The project which was of $45000 was funded by the Rotary Foundation under Global Grant was supported and coordinated by RCP Midtown, District 3292 Nepal; RC Yamato Mahoroba ,district 2650, Japan ; RC Lahaina Sunset, district 5000 Hawaii and ISPO.
