New School Building Inauguration Program – Rotary Global Grant
A four-roomed school building of Amarjyoti Basic School, Aarba, Pokhara -13 and drinking water supply to the school and nearby community under the Rotary Global Grant ( GG 1979986 ) was inaugurated amidst the 44th school anniversary program on February 26, 2020. In the inauguration program chaired by President Rtn. Prof. Binod P Heyojoo, RC Pokhara Midtown, Mr. Darshan Lama, Ward Chair and Rtn. Kiran Lal Shrestha, District Governor were present as chief and special guests respectively. Similarly, chair of PTN Nepal Dr. Tim and five Rotarians from RC Kingswood, UK with their spouses also came for this special occasion. The program was attended by Assistant Governor, members of RC Pokhara Midtown and its sister clubs. The staffs and board members of Pahar Trust Nepal (PTN), parents, local leaders also attended the program.
The global grant of total budget US$ 63,234.00 coordinated by RC Pokhara Midtown received supports from RC Kingwood, Bristol, UK and the Rotary Foundation. PTN Nepal supported the project in technical design, estimate and construction supervision of the project.
RC Pokhara Midtown sincerely express its gratitude to all the helping hands to make this project successful. In particular, RC Kingswood and PTN Nepal deserves huge appreciation for this noble and humanitarian work.
