Dear Fellow Rotarians, Warm Greetings
It is a great pleasure and privilege for me to lead our club as a President for the Rotary year 2021/22. Our club is one of the leading clubs in this region having a history of contributions of several past Presidents.
I would like to wish you all a remarkable Rotary year 2021/22. To make our dream come true, lets united so that the RI motto, SERVICE CHANGES LIFE is justified. Rotarians are the action oriented people and their vision and action plan can bring changes in the life of needy people. As we all know, “Rotary is an organisation of business and professional person united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and help built goodwill and peace in the world”.
The first time I was impressed by Rotary was the message posted in public offices/schools to be followed by the true Rotarian as- of the things we think, say or do; (i) Is it TRUTH? (ii) Is it FAIR to all concerned? (iii) Will it built GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIP? (iv) Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
The above message is not only useful in Rotary business but also in our everyday life in order to create a civilised society. Likewise, the concept of giving is so novel that it may bring changes in the life of an individual or society. If economically better off people are kind enough to donate some part of their earning to the suffering people, certainly it can help bridge the gap between the have and the have not. Rotary has done a lot of life changing and humanitarian service since its inception, more than hundred years ago and life changing service project that has benefitted many people and communities around the world.
Our way of life is terribly changed by COVID-19. It seems like a long battle to overcome from the Corona Virus Pandemic. Due to long lasting effects of CORONA VIRUS PANDEMIC we are going to emphasise our services more on DISEASE PREVENTION and AWARENESS PROGRAMMES along with our regular services this year. I am sure our action plan will be fulfilled by the overwhelming support of our friends in the board and service committees.
Let’s work hand to hand to make the RY – 2021/22 as SUCCESS.
